Hiking

Fascinating landscape, numerous mountain cottages, breathtaking alpine panorama, but also perfect touristic trails make every climb an unforgettable experience.

Valleys and ridges offer an infinite number of tracks for recreational tourists as well as for well-versed alpinists. Natural park Ötztal was extended in 2009 and today, its protected area covers 510 km2 in a hight of 3.000 altitudinal meters (774 - 3.768 m).

The paths and trails are lined with picknick and barbecue spots in case you decide to have a snack from your own food supplies. Another option is to visit one of the popular farms or cottages (Alm / Hütte) to try something from the ecological production from local farmers.

What about a hike on a regional tourist eagle trail Adlerweg, on the part of the trail of Jakobswegs or the trail Apfelstraße in Haiming. Or the nature trail following the footsteps of Ötzi, the iceman. Views will definitely not disappoint you. Everybody can choose from a romantic afternoon walk to every day demanding hiking tours for experienced trekkers. We are happy to provide the necessary equipment upon request, tents, and aid with the selection of suitable routes.

If you don’t feel confident enough, we offer the option of renting the service of an experienced guide.

Basic information about the surrounding you can find on the website of Natural Park Ötztal, trails overview or get ready for the worldwide known ridge trail Ötzal Trek to the highest peaks of Tyrolean Alps; a challenge for real daredevils!
